TURNAROUND
The turnaround for Digital Images from the Registers in Edinburgh is 1-2 weeks. Official Certificates about 2-3 weeks.

Scotland BDM Index are available to provide the reference numbers to acquire your order. il

If you are unable to supply a  reference number, providing the following details could assist in locating a registration.

Birth –  Parents names, parents marriage date and place, approx. date of birth and place.

Death – Name of spouse, approx. date of death and place, parents names.

Marriage  -  Full names of both parties, approx. date of marriage.

Identifying the person required is difficult when there are multiple entries for the same name. If there is known information such as spouse or parent/s etc, a search will be made to find the registration that matches this known information.
